Common Questions about Arkansas Wine and Spirits Registrations

Requirements:

Q: Am I required to register my labels in Arkansas?
A: Yes. The passage of Arkansas Bill HB 1480, now Act 1105, means that all actively distributed labels are now required to be registered. All actively distributed labels must be registered on or before December 31, 2013.

Q: Does the state still require me to submit a Manufacturer's Request for Brand Registration or Change of Wholesaler form?
A: No

Q: Are there new licensing requirements?
A: Yes. There is a new license requirement for suppliers. The $50 license will allow producers and importers to continue to sell to Arkansas wholesalers. Those already licensed as an "Arkansas Small Farm Winery" (needed to sell wine directly to Arkansas retailers) do not need to obtain additional licenses to sell to Arkansas distributors; their existing license will suffice. Q: I don't have a list of my actively distributed COLAs. Where can I find these?
A: You will have the option to export the COLAs that exist under your federal basic permit number.

Q: How much do registrations cost?
A: Each registration has a total fee of $20 paid to Arkansas (including technology and credit card processing costs).

Q: How do I pay?
A: You can pay by either credit card or check. Registrations paid by credit card will be approved immediately. Registrations paid by check will be approved upon receipt of the check.
